As my odometer rolls past 71, and a million half-read self-help books, I am finally understanding that I really don't have to hold the steering wheel as tightly as I have during the past 45 years of business. I have one more continent to visit, three more children's books to write, and (at least) 30 more years of living the dream. I have been sober for 28 years.
